Pace of Play Rules

In the Slim Down, we have 32 teams; it is critical that we keep up the pace of play since we are trying to get it done within 2 hours.  So, after each shot, go to your ball and get ready to hit. Once the Pro signals to your team, it is your turn.  Also, the order will be furthest away from the pin and will hit first, so be ready.  On the green, again, it will be the furthest away, hitting first and continuously putting until the ball is in the hole. The same pace-of-play rules will apply in the Shootout as well!

 

Gunslinger Slim Down

Is a 3-hole aggregate score, “Scotch” (true alternate shot) format. The top two teams in each flight, will qualify for the “Slim Down” to be held on holes 1, 8 and 9. The team score will be the sum of the three holes played minus 10% of the team handicap and rounded to the nearest hundredth. (See Table Below)

  • Record the gross score on all 3 holes. Each hole will have a live scoring for all 32 teams
  • HCP is 10% of the total of team playing HCP. (See table below)
  • The winning team is determined by subtracting the 10% HCP from the gross score. Example: If your gross score for all 3 aggregate holes is 14 and your total team HCP is 24, then 10%, or 2.4 strokes, would be deducted from your gross score.  So your net score would be the following calculation: 14 - 2.4 = 11.6. 
  • Top 6 Teams plus ties move on to Shootout
  • There are NO CHIP OFFS!

Gunslinger Shootout

The top 6-8 teams will qualify for The Gunslinger shootout. Strokes will be figured by reducing the team’s combined handicap by 50%. Teams will play Hole #9 in a “Scotch” (true alternate shot) format until your team is eliminated or there is a champion crowned.

 

Tie breaker rules

    • If there is a tie after the first round, you will go back to the 9th tee, and the player who didn’t hole out will tee off.
    • The tee will change position, and we will also change the pin on the green.
    • This will continue until there is a winner, changing the tees and pins after each tie.
    • There are NO CHIP OFFS
       
  • HCP for 9th Hole Only based on 50% of total team HCP
